Opulent Thieves Guild is a free Skyrim mod that enriches the Thieves Guild’s headquarters, the Ragged Flagon. As the name of the mod suggests, it makes this place look rich and lavish. Many players were disappointed with the Vanilla version of Skyrim because the guild looked the same even when you work to improve it. Opulent Thieves Guild revamps it and improves it every time you complete a quest for the guild.

Mods like Dark Brotherhood Reborn - Dawnstar Sanctuary for the Dark Brotherhood guild, Sky Haven Temple - Interior Overhaul, and Player Home for the Blades Guild also focus on making guild headquarters look significantly better.

Quest-dependant improvements

When you first enter the Ragged Flagon, it seems like a dark and dull place. You can see the sense of disrepair that the guild is currently in. In Skyrim’s Vanilla version, the place doesn’t look any different even as you complete quests that contribute to the guild. 

You can see more people around, and that’s about it. When you use Opulent Thieves Guild and complete specific quests, the changes are almost immediately. It slowly starts to look more decorative and warm as you progress. 

Improved guild features

The Ragged Flagon starts off as a dull and uninviting place. As you complete quests for the guild, you will start to see improvements. At first, most of the differences are subtle. It begins with lanterns and mats. 

As you complete more quests, you can see additional decorations, brighter lanterns, and candleholders being added. When you’re done with all the quests, the Ragged Flagon will have a large chandelier, paths decorated with small candles, decorative mats, tables filled with food and drinks, sculptures, and many more modifications. 

Dark and deluxe

Opulent Thieves Guild adds a much-needed improvement to the Vanilla version of Skyrim. The Ragged Flagon looks more lavish and expensive. Many players who like the Thieves Guild love this mod. It provides a sense of achievement and success as you finish your quests. There are a few issues, and most of the glitches and issues aren't resolved.
